Karisma Kapoor is a prominent Bollywood figure who hails from the illustrious 'Kapoor Khandaan,' a family renowned for its contributions to the Hindi film industry, including luminaries like Prithviraj Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and Raj Kapoor. It's worth noting that Raj Kapoor, a celebrated actor and director of his time, was Karisma Kapoor's grandfather. In a surprising disclosure during an interview with Lehren Retro, director Dharmesh Darshan has claimed that Karisma Kapoor once recounted an incident to him, alleging that she had witnessed Raj Kapoor pulling women's hair. During the shooting of a song for Dharmesh Darshan's 1996 film Raja Hindustani, a situation arose where Aamir Khan was required to pull Karisma Kapoor's hair in a scene. However, Aamir expressed his reluctance to do so, proposing an alternative by suggesting that he pull Karisma by her arm instead. Dharmesh Darshan accommodated Aamir's idea, but to his surprise, Karisma Kapoor stated that she had no objections to the original sequence, in which Aamir pulled her hair. In the interview, Dharmesh Darshan revealed, "She took me aside, and she asked for it. She said, 'I've witnessed my grandfather doing it at times, not in his movies, but in real life.' Once she shared that with me, I went to Aamir and suggested, 'No need for multiple takes or alterations. Just go ahead and pull her hair as it is.'" Karisma Kapoor is the daughter of actor Randhir Kapoor and Babita. She is all set to appear in upcoming projects like "Brown" and Murder Mubarak alongside Vijay Verma and Sara Ali Khan.
